Since you misplaced your Owner's Manual, an easier option may be to download a replacement. Go to managemyhome.com and register. This is a FREE service. Once registered, log in and click on the "Home Manager" link at the top of the page. Click on the "Owner's Manual" section listed under the drop down menu. Enter your Brand Name and Model Number. Your owner's manual is listed in a downloadable .pdf format. I hope you find this information helpful.

Maytag oven won't heat or self clean

Roger. Thank you for the correct model number ! That helped! Your model has a high limit safety thermostat located either in the back of the range or under the cooktop. The service manual does not specify where, but on previous service calls, we find them usually in the back of the range, behind the metal back panel. This has gone bad. Usually after a self clean. 71001844 THERMOSTAT, HI-LIMIT - $43 and simple to replace.

Can I use the stovetop when my oven is self cleaning?

Yes you should be able to but there are a couple things to consider. When the oven is in the self-cleaning cycle the heating element reaches a very high tempature and runs for extended periods. So if you have a couple top burners going the amperage draw could possibly trip the electrical breaker. Also there is a lot of heat generated around the range during the cleaning cycle and it may be to hot to actually work around the range. There are some ranges that dis-able the top burners during the self-clean cycle. If that is the case with your range then the answer would be no. The way you would know for sure is to try them during the self-cleaning cycle or consult your owners manual.

Oven light

There's a sprung steel retainer clip holding the cover in place. Use a small screwdriver to pry it downward, the clip will release and the cover can be pulled straight off.
