Hi Banerjen, You may have blown a fuse or two. Only way to find out is to open the console. You have one easy to identify Fuse on the power Supply board, it is a Glass with silver ends type fuse. If it blows you have a power supply problem. Which is probably due to lack of cooling or a buildup of dust that has come into contact with humidity. Clean the internal completely. The fuses on the motherboard are harder to find. The are small box shaped surface mount components, and each one with have a PS1 or PS2, type number next to it. If you are not comfortable working with this , the Playstation Clinic can help you. www.playstationclinic.com. I can repair it and try my best to keep the Labor Charge under $25, plus shipping. Shipping is between $8 and $12 depending on your preference of shipping. The return shipping cost is $10.60. I do not gouge on shipping. The $10.60 is USPS Priority Flat rate with $50 insurance added. i hope this helps you. Regards, Greg at the Playstation Clnic

Yeah the problem is kind a big.But all you need is the Hair Dryer yes you heard me.Then put it next to the ps2 and heat the backside and frontside. Why all this??The problem is in processor. He is malfunctioning due the konstant on and off. This is the worst problem on ps2.I had the same, and service told me it's best to buy new one than to fix old one. It works with Hair Dryer.LOL
