    Everything turns except the monitor stays dark. How can I restore it graphics? I have only had it 2 months.

    I get the beginning Dell graphics and then it goes to a grey screen with a white arrow. I have tried getting to safe mode (sometimes I can't even get there) and I have done some of Dell's diagnostic checks when I do get to RESTORE. Still have a grey screen with white arrow. I have taken battery out, unplugged power cord...still nothing. I'm hoping I haven't lost all my documents, pictures, etc.

Attempt to boot the machine into Safe-Mode.

Continuously hitting F8 while booting will get you to the Boot Option Menu.

If you can successfully boot into Safe mode, this may be enough to put things back together.

Attempt Safe-Mode and if successful try a normal boot.

Start from there and let us know the results.

You could try removing the display device in device manager then rebooting. At boot up windows will reinstall the drivers.
Check for new display drivers at Dell's support site.

Hey Gary,

It does sound like a video card driver issue. Unfortunately, Dell does not have any Windows 7 drivers for the Latitude D620. You would need to look on the video card mfg. website for any Windows 7 drivers.

My brand new Dell inspiron 3521 has roblems with the screen going grey like static when a disc is in there, anyone having this problem?
If you Dell Inspiron is less than 12 months old then it should still covered by the Dell warranty.
I suggest you return the Inspiron for repair or replacement, if you try to fix it yourself you most likely void your warranty.

To keep your screen in normal position Press Alt+CTRL+ arrow keys t depend which arrow key to press accorind to your screen, so try those arrow key one by one unless your screen will not in normal position)

I was trying to hear some music on my computer but I couldn't hear anything, I tried with several different songs from my Itunes library and nothing. I changed some settings in order to record in "stereo"...
Look at the bottom right of your task bar at the bottom of your screen. Look over next to the time and find the grey speaker icon. You may have to press the little arrow to find the grey speaker. Right click on the speaker icon and click on "open volume control". Make sure that the box marked, "Mute all" is not checked. If it is, then uncheck it and you should be able to hear. Also, make sure in the Wave column, the bottom box is not checked for mute.
