Problem for Sakar HT-888CL Corded Phone (HT888CLBLK)

Unable to connect to a power source.

Bought a sakar ht888cl corded phone at a goodwill store but I can find where to connect this phone to a power source. On the back of the phone it reads that battery is not required for this phone. Also inside the battery there is no connective plates for battery current. The only other open connecting area reads for DATA. Can someone assist?
