I do not have English Manual

Although I do not have my games with me here at work, you will want to enter the settings: the French word is "param?tres."

Then you will enter language: the French word is "langue."

Then select the english option: the French word is "anglais."

Good luck here as that is a Chinese company known for no parts or paperwork available.

Try to GOOGLE the model number with "manual" to see if you can get lucky.

1. Although you didn't provide the mother board manufacturer and or the mother board model.
2. the next step is to contact the manufacture and see if there is an English version of the user manual.
there should be a website with the manufactures user manual download hyperlink on the web page.

Although the manual says it's for the nuvi 205, it should be the same for your nuvi 255.

The instructions to change the language are on page 35 of the manual.

You may be able to use the Yahoo online translator to translate the Portuguese words to English - to change the language.

Have to get the code from the dealership. If you bought the car new, it should be in your paperwork or glovebox. (it's not in the manual) It has separate paperwork or card. Although the manual may have a phone # you can call. If you bought the car used, just call your local acura dealer. Some radios actually have to be pulled and sent to a factory auth svc ctr to get the code. Sorry for the bad news! Hope this helps...

You need to obtain an English version or a Multilingual one and format and install that version in English.
