Question about Toshiba 72MX195 72" HDTV

1 Answer

Frames freeze every few seconds

Ugh! I've tried everything I can do, reset everything, no luck! Cable TV audio and video both freeze every few seconds, then catch up with live, then freeze again, endlessly! Other Cable TVs in the house don't do this, so it's not the cable. What could be causing this? Please help!

Re: frames freeze every few seconds

Sounds like a weak cable signal. Contact your cable service provider and ask to have a tech check your incoming line strength.

Mitsubishi rear projection tv, model WS-48311 - Lost audio after moving tv and re-hooking up cables. How do I get it back?

It sounds like this TV is being used only for the PS3. We'll need to troubleshoot this through a process of elimination.

If you're using Component Input 1 and audio, try using Component Input 2 and audio instead. If this set of inputs provides working audio and video - you can stop. Or, try going back to Input 1 once more. If Input 1 now works - you may have simply made a better connection. If it doesn't - then there's probably an issue with input 1 on the TV.

If moving to Input 2 above still didn't solve the problem, you should try using a different set of audio cables between the HDFury and the TV. If it now works, the original audio cables are faulty.

You can check the HDfury setup on another HDTV with component inputs with it connected to an HDMI cable. if the HDFury wors, you know the device and all the cables work. If you do this test and it works with your PS3, then you know that the PS3 is providing good video and audio signals via HDMI. If the problem follows the PS3 - then it's the PS3 at fault. If everything works perfectly on the second TV, then there is some issue with the audio amplifier / inputs / speakers of the Mitsu TV. You could get a cheapo stereo amp and speakers - or a set of computer speakers for audio - it all depends on how much you want to spend for sound.

Good lcuk!

on the remote, is there a button that will let you change the option or set it to video? Try unplugging the cable as well and try different ports from the back till you get the video. you will have to video source cable and plug it to other available ones. try using a different cable as well if you have spare.

Hope this helps

1 have a 6 year-old Mitsubishi model WS-48511 series 1080 rear projection TV that now won't turn on. A few days ago we shut the TV off, and now when i plug it in the blinking green power light...

This is called the blinking green light of death-----only one of two things can cause this problem.

First: remove front speaker grill (IT PULLS OFF) AND remove inspection plate behind it; look for the two bundles of wires coming down and to the right from the front keyboard of the set.

Unplug both plugs you find (different and marked so you cannot mix them up-----the idea is to take the front keyboard out of circuit-----set will still function with remote as receiver is behind front screen)

Try (after 70 seconds) to turn on with remote

If it comes on---defective reset button on front keyboard----use set only with remote or remove and remove actual reset switch---it is located behind and part of frame for screen----entire front screen would have to be removed to get at it.

Second: if disconnection of the front keyboard does not help, the DM unit is bad.

As you look from back of set it is large metal box at extreme left side.

The blinking light is the unit trying to "Boot" up-----these have a problem where caps and a few other parts in that unit fail-----kits on the net are available----Mitsubishi no longer sells or services these units but PTS Electronics does repair them.

Let me know if you have questions and try disconnection of the front keyboard FIRST.

I was just given this Hitachi T.V. and when I plugged it in I have a good picture but no sound. I have tried everything I could by reading the manuel, but no luck.

First, recheck your cables, and their configuration. Make sure whatever source you're using is properly connected to the television. If possible, check your peripheral devices by hooking them up to another TV.
If you're just connected to cable, and if you've already fiddled with all of the on screen menu settings for audio without any luck, then it's possible the TV has some mechanical defect requiring professional repair, and you should not attempt this yourself.
In the meantime, you can try hooking up a stereo to the TV's audio output jacks (use a pair red and white cables to connect the audio out jack on the TV to the auxiliary jack of a stereo). Turn both of them on, set the stereo to aux, and see if you get sound.

I have a 51UWX20B TV. I want to get a Blu-Ray DVD

Yes there are a few options for you to make the link between your TV and the BluRay DVD player, first there are adapter cables made with HDMI plug on one end and DVI plug on the other end, remember that with this cable you will have to link the audio signal with another cable because DVI only passes video. Second if you cannot find the adapter cable in your area you also can use the component video(red, blue, green)instead of the other adapter cable, that is if your TV has component video ports, and again audio will have to be linked with another cable because component video only passes video signal. Good luck !

Tv comes on picture comes

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try.

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

Good luck with your problem...I hope you can work it out.

Tv Audio & Video go off and by using remote channels or sound etc...back on

sounds like a solder problem where the tuner attaches to the chassis. Or possibly a weak capacitor in the video circuit. If youd like a service manual for the set let me know . I know where to send you to get it for 10.99. Hope this helps
