I thought it was clogged so I took a pin and cleaned it out. Now it leaks oil a little but it still does'nt disperse the oil onto the chain and bar.
My chain dulls easily. Could this be the reason why?
Its probably the line going to the hole by the bar, or maybe oil tank is plugged up at the outlet. If it were mine, i would take the thing apart & clean the tank, etc, but you might get something like carburator cleaner with the little straw (or WD40 should do) and stick the plastic straw down into the oil hole to try to clean it out. That might work without disassemble. Very low air pressure might also work. The oil cap should be off in any event, and the tank drained.
Doesn't have much to do with your chain being dull, usually chain not sharpened right, like incorrect angle, not having rakers cut down properly and the like. Reminds me, I have 2 saws that i need to sharpen before next week. hope this helps, Rick

No oil will shorten the life of your chain. What make and model saw is it?
the oil is to make the chain spin better in the bar. is your chain sharpened properly? is it regularly sharpened properly? you have to trace down the leak to see were its coming from it could be a hose or something else. are you positive it isnt dispensing oil. try pressing the saftey back a few times when runnig it. let me know if i helped or not.
