Green screen with pin stripes and TV shuts off after maybe 10 seconds!

I HAVE A SONY T.V. KP-57WS500 THE WHEN, I TURN THE T.V. ON THE SCREEN TURN BLUE FOR 10 SECOND AFTER THAT THE T.V. TURN BLACK, I CALL THE REPAIRMAN, HE SAID THE 3 TUBES ARE DAMAGED. I THINK SONY SHOULD RECALLS THIS TV MODELS.

I have been having the same problem. I was thinking it was something that I had done, until I looked at this website. I contacted Sony and I was told that any repairs would have to be paid for by me. This TV is only 4 years old. What happened to the quality products that we used to have. I have been having the same problem. 2 weeks ago, we had the same problem: KP-57WS500 was turned on, green screen came on with lines across. Then the video was out, the audio was out, and the tv went to standby with 8 flashings. We just replaced the D board ($203.00+). Now the audio is holding, but the video is still out. LED in front still gives 8 blinks. Spent $2,350.00+ five years ago. Scare of Sony now.
