Try to play a song and it says syncranize? Tried redownload songs to the sansa but didn't work!
Did you use your own cd's? If so, did you use Windows Media Player to copy (rip) them to your computer? Windows Media Player, by default, has "copy protect my music" selected. To remove this, in Windows Media Player select Tools>Options>Rip Music and un-check the copy protect my music mark. You will need to delete the music you already transferred, then re-copy the music without protection, then re-transfer them to your device. Best of Luck.

If you have problems with your CD's, use the instructions I posted before.
The Wal-Mart music has problems with the licenses.
You can try to get a refund or, burn the Wal-Mart music to a cd, then rip it back to the computer to remove the licensing errors.
Best of Luck.
The songs have some type of license on them, that is why it says to "synchronize" it wants to update the licenses.
You need to check the all to find out where the problem lies.
Right click on each track and select Properties>Summary Tab then select advanced at the bottom. Check the under the "origin" of the music. If it says protected, that is the problem.
You will need to remove the protection, or not use these tracks.
Best of Luck.

The music that was loaded to the device also came from walmart music site. That also does the same things as the music from cd's but the music that was already on it when it was bought plays just fine.
The device is not checked so that's not the problem. Any other ideas?
