Problem for Flat Panel Televisions
Generic problem for all Flat Panel Televisions
Insignia NS-32LCD will not turn on.
TV is 7 months old....Push on/off button and Insignia emblem lights up blue...no sound or picture...turn set off and Insignia emblem turns red......I tried the hairdryer trick and nothing happened......I tried unplugging and holding the on button while plugging it up again.....nothing.....I've taken it apart and can't see anything burnt or broken.....Any help would be appreciated.

- I have 2 Insignia 32" LCD T.V's and both have the same problem. The repair shop diagnosed the issue as the power supply. The repair shop said it would cost $300 for each repair. I sourced the power supply board (#667-L32K5-20C) at Best Buy for $89.99 each. I'm going to buy one and try to repair this my self, whats the worse that can happen? The T.V's are garbage anyways....I hope this helps.

I bought a 32' LCD TV made from insignia and it will not turn on. It was a 'open box item' now it is 15 months old- 3 months past warranty and it is completely finished. It's something to remember about Best Buy products. They are often pieces of junk. Isignia and Best Buy both have unavailable customer support, the local store transferred me from sales to Geek Squad- after Geek Squad said they don't do TV's I was transferred to a line I let ring for 2 minutes and the phone was never answered. I have been going to Best Buy instead of Circuit City but this has concerned me enough to not spend money at Best Buy anymore.

I have an Insignia HD30 tv and it will not turn on. I called Insignia main office and then Best Buy Service and spoke with 4 employees and a supervisor. All said the same thing; their tv's are made with a lamp that controls it coming on and it only last 2 or at best 3 yrs. It then has to be replaced. The service contract will only replace it one time. They do not tell you when you buy it and it is not in the manual. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney's General Office in my state, Comsumer Reports as this product contains a latent defect.

same thing happening to me and mine is ONE day out of warranty and the
customer service is like "too bad, it's not our problem anymore.." one
even had the balls to say "I bet you wish it would have broken
yesterday." I did a sarcastic laugh and said back "what I wish is that
you guys would have made a TV that wasn't a piece of dog squeeze." I'm
still arguing with customer-NO-service though, I'll let you know how i
handled it.

Heat the bridge rectifier with a blow dryer and see it turn right on.

it seems that this tv has a problem with a very short life span of the back light lamp of the LCD display, not sure why the sound doesn't work but it is related to the bulb being burnt out. The light is around $600.00 installed.

I purchased the insignia ns-32lcd about a 20 months ago(not even 2 years) and I turnd it off one night and it never came back on the insignia emblem will turn from red to blue but I get no sound or picture. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this is the firt time I bought a new TV the didnt last at least 8-10 years. this was not a BEST BUY at all I consider it a rip off.

I purchased the insignia ns-32lcd it workef fine until last night the tTV is not even 2 years old I turned the TV off and it decided not to turn back on the insignia emblem will turn from red to blue but I get no sound and no picture. I wish I would of read all these reviews before purchasing. I guess thats one to grow on.

I have a 32" Insignia LCD TV that has the same problem - will not come on, just flashes between red and blue power-on lights. It went out a year and one day after purchase. I found that it will come on for a few seconds if I hold down a button on the remote when the blue light comes on, but then it goes off again anyway. Does anyone know where to find the lamp that one responder mentioned, and where to buy one to replace?

I HAVE THE SAme PROMBLEM WITH THIS PIECE OF JUNK T.V. ,ITS THE SECOND ONE THAT WHEN DEAD ON ME ,INSIGNIA OR BEST BUY WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT SINCE IT IS PAST THE WARRANTY,NO PICTURE OR SOUND AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS OF USE. This product is a piece of junk stay away from insignia brand t.v.

my tv just stop showing a picture in the middle of a movie the screen lights up blue and there is sound but no picture

My tv turns on; then the screen goes black after a couple of minutes. Then the blue light changes to red and vice versa.

I have Insignia 42" plasma, and a few days ago i begin to have the same problem...a times it doesn't not turn on .. when i pushed the power button .. the red light blinks on and off every 2 seconds .. then i unplugged it and plug it back in and try again ... it looks like its going to turn on (lights blinks amber blue for a second) but then its goes back to flashing red again every 2 seconds... If i keep trying sometimes for hours ... it finally decides to work .... I'm also past the warranty period ... bought it from costco .... few years back ...
