I have somehow lost the remote for my Spectronic DVD player. I have a universal remote for my home theater system, but I cannot find the remote code to use on my remote. Does anyone know what the code is or point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks,

The instructions are included with these universal remote OR simply go to the REMOTE manufacturer web sitelook up your model of remote and the codes will also be listed You neglected to even mention the brand of remote so thats all I can give you
most universal remotes will work may i would also suggest buying a really nice universal remote from logitec its called the harmony it runs about 30 bucks for the 420 model with an lcd screen. from amazon.com it allows you to connect to your pc to install all the codes for all your devices by just telling the software what tv dvd player etc you have. and unlike most universal remotes it will control everything at once nolonger needing to hit the tv button to change channels and home theater or dvd button to turn on movies and change volume also lets u set up other activities where if you want to watch a movie it will turn on the dvd player, home theater system and tv to the right inputs same thing with gaming and everything different activities one press of the button and everything is set up. also it has a nice on screen lcd with a help built in that will allow you to fix a problem if u accidentally set up a setting wrong via the pc it will fix it and store it in memmory
First, there is no such thing as a 'universal' remote, even the 'learning' remotes will not learn from every original remote.
Second, for anyone to help you, you need to post both model numbers, the player's and the remotes.
Generally, if a remote is only even a little older than the player, it may not contain the code set for the player.
I found a website for the remote you need. I need one too. Go to remotes.com and put your model number of DAV 3102 in the space. It will show you the original remote and a replacemet you can use. Kind of expensive but worth it to me.
