Chainsaw will crank, but will not keep running. I have performed all the normal things, like cleaning and rebuilding the carb. and new fuel lines, but does not help. What's next?

I usually try to make my own tools for these situations - do you have any skills/abilities for that? Otherwise try another dealer, negotiate a loan of the tool maybe. Many special tools eventually make it into the aftermarket, possibly they are being sold online somewhere.
If it was not run, or was shut down before it seized, drain the fuel refill with 2 cycle mix (double oil if the saw had been run). Start it and run under light load till empty. if it seized a total rebuild will be necessary.
Hi, OK firstly when you pump the primer bulb the primer bulb pulls fuel from the reservoir and pushes it to the carb then after around six to ten pumps the carb chamber is full and the fuel then goes back to the feservoir. Normally if you have a leak on the fuel line you get air in the priming bulb. Next thing is having primed Put the choke on full and pull the engine over a few times untill you hear it fire. Then depress the throttle and put the choke lever back to normal run position and pull the starter a couple of times untill it starts. Thats a pretty fool proff method on all two stroke machines and I have a few. Hope that is of some help. Steve
Do a compression check. It should be at least 100 psi. The cheapest thing to do first is to change the fuel filter in the tank. If that doesn't help you will need to remove the carburetor and see if the diaphams are hard. If so put a new carburetor kit in it. Hope this helps. George
Hi, Over time sometimes the adjust ment screws on the carb vibrate and change the fuel setting Assuming the carb is in good condition ie no problems with diaphram an needle valve. I would start by turning the idle screw and fast runningscrew shut ie clockwise. Then open them up to 1.5 turns open. Start from there and if you still have any probs get back to me or look on You tube lots of stuff on two stroke engine carb set up. Oh and make sure your fuel tube has not been pulled up, the filter should be at the bottom of the fuel reservoir. Hope that helps Steve
start by checking all ur fuel lines for holes then proceed to clean or rebuild ur carb the ethonal in fuel is cloging small engine carb jets and making needles stick so then adjust ur carb back to factory settings try with new air filter as well and run 89octane or higher in your two stroke motors u will c a great differance in performance
