Re: washing machine spin with noise

I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years sounds like the dreaded drum bearings, to check, switch off and open the door and try to move the inner chromed drum in the direction it should not go (pull towards you with your hand near the rim edge just behind the door seal) (and not too much force)if there is any play movement or it rattles then yes its confirmed, if the back of the machine is removed you may also notice brown rust water marks coming from the center rear of the drum just behind the center of the pulley always work with safety with the plug removed, if i have helped please rate me, and if i am correct (sorry) could be an expensive repair

Noisy & will not progress to spin cycle

The tub must pump down before it will go into spin cycle. My pump was making rumbling noises and when I took the basket out (simple process) there were a couple of bobby pins stuck in it. (kids) Cleaned it out and checked the flowpath with a wet and dry vacuum on the drain connection. Still makes the noise. There is a small zip lock bag under the control panel that describes the trouble shooting and error codes. It also says how to go through the diagnostics steps. Hope this helps.

My washing machine makes a loud banging noise wen it reaches the spin cycle only happens wen it is a full load not a half load

Form the front of washer, spin drum by hand, and if it fees rough, or is rumbling, then the main drum bearings are worn.
If no noise from drum, then could be worn shockers, or the washer is not properly levelled, or concrete balance weight, I'm afraid it is a process of elmination.
Hope this helps.

Machine makes awful noise during any movement, spins very slowly, not enough to spin out. Making an awful noise, like stripped gears and won't drain

There are three reasons for such awful noise during spinning. Either the drum or the bearing turning the drum. Check for drum bearing failure if your washing machine is noisy on the spin cycle. Drum bearing failure is common when the bearing seals start allowing water to enter. You can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand, and if the drum rumbles, replace the bearings.

Loud noise in washing machine

Hi, Raise the lid and stick something into the hole to activate the lid switch. Start the washer in spin cycle and after 30 seconds or so, release the lid switch and see if the tub continues to turn and make the rumbling noise. It sounds to me like the block that holds the inner tub has gone bad.
Has nothing to do with the move but, might have just happened.
Please let me know if this is the case or if I can assist you further.
