Dim display problem

Hi there,

Have you tried adjusting the LCD's bright and contrast using the buttons on the monitor. Instructions can be found on page 12 of this manual:

If the lcd monitor is dim even upon booting up, then the backlights of the lcd itself is starting to fail and it needs to be replaced.

Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using FixYa. Merry Christmas!

Push the button on the front that says menu. Within that menu you will find the brightness control. Use the other buttons to move through the different menu items until you get to Brightness. Once there push the menu button again and then adjust the brightness with the other buttons.

The brightness and color have dimmed.

This could be something with the cable or an internal connection if it is intermittent.

No image on monitor

Looks like the Video card, or Video chip has bought the farm
Try hooking up to another monitor to confirm where the problem is.

Monitor is too bright

Lcd monitors do not go overbright due to aging, they may go dim due to backlight aging.Do front panel controls work and if so what happens when you try to bring down brightness?
Some monitors have a "Recall" function which is a factory restore bringing all setting to factory value.
Try this if available.

Hi light is going dim day by day

your monitor is going to damage.the parts inside has leak.the capacitor inside.if you can open your monitor try to diagnose capcitors beside flyback.some of them has a leaky state.ok good luck.
