I just purchased the Trust KB-2200 Multimedia Scroll Keyboard. I had problems with it at first, but I fixed everything and the keyboard works fine now. However, there is one last problem I'm having.
When I boot up, the computer doesn't recognize the F2 (BIOS settings) or F12 (Boot menu) keys. I know this will come back to haunt me in the future. The Trust online tech support is basically a joke. Before I installed the new Trust keyboard, I had no problem using the F2 or F12 keys when booting up, but now they don't work. I want to know how to get them to work during bootup.
Note: The keyboard has an ''F'' key that toggles the Function keys between normal mode and special mode. In special mode, the function keys carry out pre-programmed actions instead of acting as normal function keys. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but when in Windows, the ''F'' key is off by default and the function keys behave normally.
Any help would be appreciated.
My computer setup is below, if this is needed:
Dell 531s computer
Athlon Core 2-Duo CPU
4 GB DDR2 RAM
500 GB SATA hard drive
Windows XP (SP3)
I have already installed the Trust 15036_01 driver.
Thank you.

- This is not a generic problem, but a specific problem with the Trust KB-2200 Multimedia Scroll Keyboard.
I apologize for posting this twice. The reason I did so was the first time it referred to my problem as a generic problem, instead of putting the name of the product. It did the same thing again. I typed in the exact name of my Trust keyboard, but it said, "Not a valid product." I don't know what that means. Then when I selected the category, the Trust manufacturer was not listed, so I had to select "None of the above." I imagine that's why it is referring to my problem as generic. You can delete one of my postings concerning the Trust keyboard.

- Hi, Rais13.
I'm not certain what you mean. After I boot into Windows, the function keys do work normally. What exactly am I supposed to do to get them to work while I'm booting up?
Thanks.

- Well, the key says, "F" and in controls the Function keys. The problem is there is no LED for the "F" key, so you can't tell if it's active or not while booting. Once in Windows, its staus is displayed in the task bar.As I wrote in my original message above:
"Note: The keyboard has an ''F'' key that toggles the Function keys between normal mode and special mode. In special mode, the function keys carry out pre-programmed actions instead of acting as normal function keys. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but when in Windows, the ''F'' key is off by default and the function keys behave normally."
Do you understand what I'm saying. The keyboard boots into windows with the "F" key automatically Off and the Function keys work normally. So I figured they should work normally during bootup, too.
However, I did think of what you suggested, and I also would press the "F" key on bootup (to toggle it off in case it was active) and then pressed the F2 key, but I still couldn't getting into the BIOS settings. It booted into Windows.
So the bottom line is whether I just press the F2 key at bootup or press the "F" key first and then the F2 key, it always boots into Windows.
Where do we go from here?
Thanks for trying to help me.
