Scrolling issues with the Swiss Gear Daytona II mouse

I purchased the Daytona II optical mouse by Swiss Gear and the scrolling is messed up, it keeps jumping to the top of the screen or list of files and won't let me scroll. None of my other mice have any problems like this. Is there any way to fix it? I've uninstalled and reinstalled and re-synched and everything but it still does it.

I believe its the mouse. A lot of people are having the same problem, including me. I just bought the product last night. if you can return it from where-ever you bought it from, or buy a new one

The only problem is I bought it about 4 months ago, and don't have the receipt anymore. It just started like a month ago.

It's an optical mouse, and I've used several types of mouse pads and surfaces but it's not the mouse part, it's the scroller.

NOTE: I have Vista Ultimate, so hopefully this works for those who have XP!

Okay i had this problem but I went to Dell and downloaded this driver

Either click this link provided or copy into browser.

Download, install, and restart.

I hit the connect button on moth the USB and the mouse at the login screen, clicked the mouse button, and VIOLA, it worked!

Scrolling works, drop down menu's and the forward and back buttons on the mouse work as well!

SOURCE: Can't work wireless mouse Daytona II

You have to plug in the usb receiver thingy.

Put the batteries in mouse and turn it on by switching the bottom from off to on.

There's a button the usb receiver. Push it. It will start flashes, turn over the mouse and you'll see a "connect" button. Push it.

a warning though, the product isn't good. everybody seems to be having issues with it & they cant get help from the makers of the product; so if you can, I would return it from wherever you bought it from. I got mine from walmart last night and I will be returning it tomorrow and exchanging it for a whole new different product

Scrolling keeps freezing

If this does it with fresh batteries and optical light is clean, also test on a solid colored surface before trying another mouse to see if it is the mouse or system board. Did this start with new download of another web browser? Software install/update? If mouse is older, need to remove ball and clean 3 wheels.

My wireless dynex mouse has issues scrolling. When I scroll down, it scrolls down a little, then scrolls up on its own. How do I fix this?

Dynex is a BestBuy brand and is cheaply made. I suggest taking it back to them and spending a little more money on a Logitech or Microsoft branded device.

I have an HP N3 optical mouse that was doing well until the other day when the middle little scrolling wheel stopped working. Can I fix it or do I have to buy something else? Thank you.

If the entire mouse stopped it probably time for new batteries. If it is just the wheel then it could be a driver issue or setting. If those are ok ie the middle button wasn't disabled somehow or your computer figured it only has a 2 button mouse then its hardware. That means its replacement time. It's possible the switch or the sensor for the wheel are dirty so if you want to you can take it apart and try cleaning.

Mouse keeps scrolling through pages

This sometimes happens to optical mice when they are used on a reflective surface. Do this:

1. Make sure there are no dust inside the mouse sensor
2. Use a proper non-reflective mousepad

If the above does not work, then there may be a hardware fault with the mouse. You may need to have it fixed or replaced.

I have a scrolling problem. I think gear wheel is broken. What can I do to fix it? Is it possible to take gear wheel from the other mouse (I have old optical A4Tech mouse with PS/2 port)

You may want to open the mouse and see if there is any loose connections, with low cost mice sometimes it is easier to pay for a replacement but look for a loose connection first.

Imprecise scrolling

go to control center, mouse properties, use the wheel-tab, and set lines to scroll to 1.

Any solution for apple wireless mouse not able to scroll-happens frequently-I do all the usual things, ie: cleaning scroll ball with a toothbrush, alcohol, etc. Works for a while, sometimes an hour, day,...

if you're having issues with a "mighty mouse" let me tell you that no matter how well you clean it, the problem will continue. If you can't get a free replacement from Apple, the best experience for us at my office has been to move to Logitech bluetooth mice. Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Bluetooth Mouse works great and you have all the functions you need like scrolling, right and left click, etc.
