Re: Hoover Upright Steam vac

Is there a float switch in the tank? Could be when the float rose up to a level it got stuck, stopping your machine.

Can not get my steam vac to suck up water everything else works.done half floor empty water to do other half of floor and it just stopped sucking up water

  • There a twist lever on the side to change from floor to tools. If "everything else works" then you have it on tools. Twist it back to floor and it will work.

My hoover spin scrub steam vac stopped sucking up water

Only 2 possible probelms.
The vacuum adapter in missing from the dirty water tank.... OR the intake part of the machine is clogged and must be cleared of hair and dirt (with the supplied plastic wand)

Hoover Dual V steam vac model F7425-900 won't dispense detergent

Check the spring loaded valve at the bottom of the detergent bottle.
Push it up with your finger or a pencil or some such thing and see
if fluid comes out. If it does, then the problem is the valve or tubing I
would suspect.

Steam vac won't **** water

check to see if the recovery tank lid is on correctly. if this is not on, the machine will not **** up the dirty water from the carpet. all you will get is suction that is chopy when it comes up instead of more like a flow.

There is no steam on my hoover steam vac

They do not really "steam." They use hot water to clean your carpets with a mix of cleaner as well. You will not see your unit actually steam.

Hoover steam vac not sucking water back up i have super wet floors and no water in recovery tank

I think it is the gasket on top and bottom of the plastic chanel that takes the water up to the dirty water holding tank , Part of the rubber gasket is missing on both the top and bottom. This will alow
air to come in and thus you loose the suction to empty the water into the dirty water bin. My unit is hoover steam vac model F60220-900. I need to know where to get the gaskets.

Problems with the Hoover Steam vac Heated carpet cleaner

This happens when the filter on the inside of the lid for the dirty water tank is pushed all of the way up. You need to leave a 1/4 in. gap from the top to the top of the filter.
