When I turn my machine on, once it fills up, the screen says "E3" in the middle, and the words "add" on the left and "rinse aid" on the right, plus that cute little wrench looking thing. We have done the off/on/off/on as suggested on the trouble shooting guide on top of the door, but nothing changes. Lately (last couple of weeks or so) I've noticed that we haven't been going through the rinse aid anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
The error you see is that the dishwashers chemical board (located on the back of the machine) isnt sensing the chemical.First thing to check is remove the lower front panel,2 philip screws. On the left you will see 2 pumps one on top of the other.
They may be marked (det and r/a),turn the dishwasher on these 2 pumps should run.If they dont your pump may be bad or the control board.Run a full cycle to make sure.
If they do run i would make sure the standpipe in the r/a bottle isnt kinked or the tubing.Let me know,i'm a hobart tech.
