My bluetooth isn't work...my windose is 7...when i turn bluetooth of my cellphone and my laptob my cellphone found it but the laptob bluetooth couldn't find it.

Hello, the reason your laptop cannot find your cellphone is becaus the cellphone's bluetooth is not in discovery mode. You will need to put the cellphone into discovery mode. To do that, open your bluetooth settings, and choose discovery mode or something like that. Then have the laptop look for new devices.

How to connect to laptop?

Hello,

You can connect Nokia 2690 using bluetooth and using Nokia connectivity Cable CA-101 which will fit to the USB port of your laptop.
carloadrian_1.jpg
(NOKIA connectivity cable)

Procedure on how to connect:

1. Bluetooth (This will work with the laptop with bluetooth)

First, remember to turn on the Bluetooth feature and make it discoverable by other devices (My Phone's visibility -> Shown to all) on cell phone, so that it can be detected by laptop.

Then, click on the add devices in the control panel of your computer. Click start> control panel

2. Add Bluetooth Device Wizard window will appear, tick My devices is set up and ready to be found and click Next.

carloadrian.png

3. The wizard will then search the Bluetooth devices nearby, and will show the found devices. Here the wizard found my cell phone named David. Click the device you want to add, after that click Next.

carloadrian_2.jpg

4. Ok. Here the wizard will ask whether you need a passkey to add your device, so that the communication data between laptop and cell phone will be encrypted later, here I would recommend you to either select Choose a passkey for me or Let me choose my own key. In this example, I select choose a passkey for me.

carloadrian_3.jpg

The wizard will then show the passkey and you need to key in to your cell phone. After that, the laptop will try to install the Bluetooth device. If you have Bluetooth program for your cell phone, you can install it as Windows Vista might have problem to install the device . For my case, I install Nokia PC Suite on the laptop, so I can transfer wallpapers and videos later.

Note: Also your cell phone will get the prompt to accept connection from laptop, and you need to click yes.

5. At last, click Finish to complete the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard.

6. And now, you will see the new bluetooth device added which is your Nokia 2690 phone.

Here's another way on how to connect your cellphone to your laptop.

2. Hard Connection using Nokia connectivity Cable CA-101

carloadrian_7.jpgYou can get this from any nokia stores.

Procedure:

Just connect the other end of the wire to your cellphone and the other end to the usb port in your laptop. Follow the onscreen instructions in your cellphone.

Check your laptop if your cellphone has been detected, once it's connected you can then access your pictures or other files in your cellphone. You can even transfer files.

I hope this helps.

Please rate this solution. Don't forget to leave your comments/suggestions on how I can improve my service.

Thanks..

Toshiba laptop with IOgear bluetooth adapter installed will recognize phone but won't detect plantronics explorer headpiece. I would like to use it to chat on skype

If the Bluetooth adapter can detect the phone but not the Plantronics headpiece, then there's no problem with your computer or your Bluetooth adapter. The problem has something to do with the Plantronics.

Try to turn the headpiece off, then turn it back on. Set it to discovery mode, then try to detect it using your computer. If that did not help.

Try to detect the Plantronics, using your phone. That will help you in isolating the problem.

Aside from that, make sure that no possible wireless interference while you're searching for the headpiece. Cell phone, base of the cordless phone should be away from the computer while you're searching for the headpiece. Because Bluetooth and cellphones/cordless phones are running on the same 2.4GHz frequency RF signal. They might interfere with each other.

Good luck!

Cellphone will not detect bth-015b

Bluetooth technologymag-glass_10x10.gif is a wireless means of sending and receiving data over short distances with mobile and stationary devices. While it has applications in non-civilian work, such as military and space organizations, bluetooth can be found on everyday items such as laptops, computers, cellphones and their accessories. These days, the need for a more hands-free alternative to the use of cellular phones is important; not only for ease of use or increased productivity, but for general safety. In some areas, the use of a bluetooth device while driving has become a law to protect other drivers and the public from accidents
  1. tep 1 Fully charge your bluetooth headsetmag-glass_10x10.gif according to its instructions. This can take from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the model. This can be done through the included AC adapter, car adapter or USB connector cable to your computer.
  2. Step 2 Unplug your bluetooth headset from the charger. Hold down on the control button, the large lighted button on the face of the device, until it blinks red and blue. It's now in pairing mode.
  3. Step 3 Turn on your cellphone. Enter the menu screen and navigate to the "Settings" screen. Search for an option labeled "Bluetooth" and select it. You will be prompted if you want to turn bluetooth connectivity on. Press "Yes."
  4. Step 4 Search for the bluetooth headset with your phone by going into the Bluetooth options screen and selecting "Search." The headset should appear under a list of found devices, usually called "LG Headset." Select the headset.
  5. Step 5 When prompted for a passkey, enter the numerals "0000" without quotations and press "OK." Your LG headset should now flash blue, indicating that it is paired with your phone.

Motorzr v8 Bluetooth problem

The Bluetooth Transmitter/Reciever in the phone is probably defective. You can verify this by testing it with another Bluetooth device. If it fails with another device, then you know for sure that the phone has a fault.

The fix is to change the circuit board that has the Bluetooth processing. This fix will be expensive in relation to changing the phone if the phone is out of warranty.
