Frost on the coils won't allow air to pass to the fresh food section, thus resulting in insufficient cooling. To eliminate this problem, you will have to get a new adaptive defrost timer ( small board ), and a defrost heater assembly.
Check to see if you have frost on the back panel of your freezer in your fridge. If you do your coil is frozen over and you'll have to defrost your freezer. I just did mine cause mine wasn't cooling properly on my fridge side. My coil was solid ice.
How great is the freezer temperature? Look for frost on the freezer back wall. If there is frost there you have a defrost system problem. the refrigerator is cooled by air it receives from the freezer. When the freezer coil freezes up the air circulation stops.
