I bought a new battery for my 88 cbr600 F1 last summer. It was working great till last month. I went out to my bike turned the key, and no power, the battery was dead. So I charged up the battery, put it back in the bike, got it running up to temp., and put a volt meter on it. The charging system is working perfectly, it read 13.5-14.8. A few days later I went to go ride, and same thing, the bike was dead. I pulled the battery, charged it and brought it to a parts store had had a load test run on the battery, and it was good up to 250 cold crank amps.
So I'm, at a loss as to what the problem is, and I need help. It was suggested that there might be a ground fault or bear wire, but I don't know.
Did you check what the charging current it? look in the manual on how you can hook up a meter to measure the charging current thats actually going into the battery when its charging. if thats correct then, u might have a leak or something.
how dead is the battery?
You could have a fault on your regulator/rectifier a chech with a multi meter will tell you. also check generator output.
