Canon PIXMA iP4000 problem

Hello. I have this Print Server connected to a Canon PIXMA iP4000 printer, and afer configuring the printer in the computers as it is said in the manual, I try to print some documents, and the printer do not print anything in some of them, and the others were half printed. There is any known solution for this issue? Thanks in advance. Best regards

You are probably missing the bidirectional support setting in the print server...some printers simply cannot be print served and this may in fact be one.

I would like to print in mirror image, how do I do that?

Hello,

Most printer have this option on the Layout option.

Just print and press "preferences" and you will be able to see the mirror option.

Canon PIXMA iP4000 has five cartridges 6BLK,e3BLK,6y,6m,6c

You may want to puschace and use a cleaning cartridge but positive results are not guaranteed. It depend how bad your print head is clogged.

The cost is about $5.

Canon pixma ip4000

I think there is ink contamination on the bottom of the print head. Remove all cartridges and then remove the print head. Wash the bottom of the printhead with hot water. After that dry with a cloth. Make sure its fully dry. (Toiletpaper does a good job of drying the printhead). Make sure no ink is leaking out of the cartridges. Replace everything and then run a deep cleaning test.
