firstly all the tracks you want must be converted into mp3 format. You can get hold off mp3 converter software such as Power and winlame. also all the tracks you want has to be imported into the Connect Player software. you should have a cd that comes with the player, it is similar to iTunes with the iPod. i think you can possibly download it from the sony website. when you have them both convert the tracks into mp3s and then import them into the Connect player. From Connect you will be able to transfer the music across. Hope it helps

SOURCE: firmware for mp3???
because you formatted your mp3 thru the computer, if your mp3 has an option in its sytem you may format it here. and you should download the songs thru the sonique stage, you can not transfer directly coming from your win amp or windows media player because of different file format

SOURCE: Sony Walkman NW A1000
iTunes records in a format that isn't recognized by the walkman. the file extension for iTunes is WMF which is a Windows Metafile. You'll need to convert it to mp3 to listen to it.
