Re: Format

The error is because, that program only works with the non-Rhapsody versions. You need to manually create a format text document. It rather lengthy to explain the steps. If you call technical support they can send it to you. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 Best of Luck.

Sandisk sansa e260r

if you still have the software that came with it (and installed) plug your sansa into your computer....the software should recognize it...then look for a button that says "repair" or "format" im not familiar with the exact program but i know your problem all too well...*shudder* what that will do is it will REMOVE all the songs from the sansa...but if their still on your computer you should be fine...then it reinstalls the firmware(the codes and software that make it work) then you just have to re-addall your music and your all set :) if this doesnt work feel free to repost here :P

My Mp3 player keeps turning on repeatedly

Try unscrewing the back and taking the battery out for a minute and replace and see if that helps.

Sansa e250 freezes!

This should take care of it;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

Sansa mp3 player freezes at refresh database

The Same thing happened to Me once. All you have to do is reformat it. You can do this by first putting the player in recovery mode. You can do this by putting the hold button on the side where you can see the orange and then plug the device into the computer while holding the power/Menu button. Then go to my computer to Verify that it came up as 16MB-Format. Then you can type into the address bar and type in then once you do that right click on the file you downloaded and select open with compressed folder and drop and drag to the 16MB-Format drive. In the 16MB-Format drive folder select file menu and select New - Folder and rename it sansa.fmt then press enter to save. Finally move the hold switch back and disconnect the device and look at the screen and verify it is formatting and resetting once it's done and finishes the updates restart and if needed pick your language. check and see if you can use your player.
