Have a kitchen gourmet rice cooker can I cook beef stew in this item

A rice cooker is specifically designed for cooking rice and may not be suitable for preparing complex dishes like beef stew. Rice cookers typically have a simple on/off mechanism that doesn't allow for the same level of control and versatility as a stovetop or slow cooker.
However, some modern rice cookers come with additional features and settings, such as a "steam" or "simmer" function, which might allow you to prepare simple stews or soups. It's essential to consult the user manual that came with your specific rice cooker to understand its capabilities and limitations.
If your rice cooker has a steam or simmer function, and it is made of materials that can withstand cooking with liquids and high temperatures, you might be able to prepare a basic beef stew. Still, keep in mind that the results may not be the same as using a dedicated stovetop pot or slow cooker, as rice cookers are not designed for complex recipes.
Always prioritize safety and follow the manufacturer's guidelines when using kitchen appliances for purposes other than their intended use. If you're unsure about using your rice cooker for beef stew, it's best to opt for traditional cooking methods like using a stovetop or slow cooker to ensure the best results and safety.

I lost the measuring cup supplied with my Kitchen Living rice cooker. Can you tell me the equivelant amount of that "cup"?

Virtually all rice cookers are the same 2 cups rice to 1 cup water. Be careful because measures are different all around the world. For instance in USA a cup is 8 ounces, in Japan I believe it's 6 ounces for a cup, but still it's 2 to 1.

I need an instruction manual for a model # 886 rice cooker. It is an Aroma.

Hi

I'm not much into rice cookers, so I don't know the finer differences between the models.

You can check here: Aroma Rice Cooker Manuals
http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/ex/thread/view/idThread/1901552

or from AROMA directly:
http://www.aroma-housewares.com/kitchen/appliances/manuals/Rice%20Cookers.html

Surely there will be one model close enough to yours.

Good luck and yum yum!
