Controllers all my controllers & cables are ok but still can not use my controllers i think it could be the ports. what would be the problem there. disc work fine up until beginning of game when says insert controllers. cheers

Sounds like the motherboard bios is only capable of booting from drives connected to the motherboard's ide connector and not additional / or external ide connectors. Looks like you would have to have 1 HDD and the CDRom Drive on the built in ide connector and the other hard drive on the extra ide connector you added. Although that would probably stop the other HDD from booting. Have you thought about putting both operating systems on the same drive. I do it all the time.

  Now you will touch the stereo jack, can you can listen a sound when touch the jack. If you will not get any sound, think there is the problem in your amplifier or audio system has not any voltage. To confirm the voltage check by multi miter or can go any local Technician .If the voltage is ok, think your sound system defected and should go to Technician.

• Speaker Cable connect to an audio port (Audio/Video port in system box).

If your getting it to work on the regular RCA Jacks then it is your dvr box problem. I would contact your cable provider.

ok i think you need to reset the video settings here is a step by step procedure which you can follow

To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:

1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2. Turn off the console.
3. Turn on the console.
   
   Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Wait for the guide light to indicate that the controller has linked to the console.
   
   Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is indicated by the upper-left quadrant light on the console.
4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button as you pull the right trigger.
   
   Note This action causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings. The console then automatically restarts.

It does sound like your ports on the front might be bad. They usually connect to a seperate port on the motherboard than the rear ones, and I have seen devices short out the front ports, such as a USB music player.

You can remove the ports on the device manager, and they should come back ok, without worry. However, I doubt that is going to help the front ones. I think you have a hardware problem.

If that is the case, the easiest solution is to get a USB hub, and run a USB cable from the rear, to the front of the computer.

WinXP SP2 blocks the use of the drive because it thinks it draws too much power. But there is a simple procedure to override this (from WD site):

"Problem:
Under Windows XP, an error message of "Power Surge on Hub Port" or "USB device has exceeded the power limits of it's hub port" is displayed when connecting a USB device to a USB port on a computer or Hub.

Cause:
Under some computers, USB devices are only allowed to draw a maximum of 500 milliamps (mA) per connection from the USB port on the computer system or from a USB hub. Under the Windows XP Operating System, with the release of Service Pack 2, if a device attempts to draw more than this (500 milliamps), a USB port balloon message is displayed to indicate this over current condition. When connecting a USB device that draws power from the USB bus, a very brief over current condition is sometimes detected by the OS, and the warning message is displayed.

Resolution:
This message has no affect on the functionality of the USB port. The USB hard drive should still function correctly on the USB port regardless of the error message. To prevent the USB Power Surge Alert message from displaying, please complete the following steps:
Click on Start.

Click on Control Panel.

Double-click on the System Icon.

Click on the Hardware Tab.

Click on the Device Manager button.

Click on the + next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers to expand the selection.

This works fine, and the drive works fine afterwards. I suspect it actually draws less power than they say. Maybe it has a brief power draw spike on startup, but it's running power seems less. In any case, it works fine without the Y cable. I do think it is tacky that WD doesn't give the cable for free, since my $7 Sabrent 2.5" Hard drive enclosure came with a y cable.

But most likely the drive will work fine for you. It is a lovely quiet drive, and takes up no space at all.

We found the solution on another post:
"Try making sure that the DDR mat is plugged into the FIRST controller jack (there are 4). That is the only way that it is associated with controller 1. If you plug it in any of the other controller jacks, you will be able to use the mat with instructions, configuration, etc., but not to dance. Hope this is your problem! -GeoffM"

is this because i used the usb cable for another devide?
- i dont think so. the usb cable that comes with the benQ camera is the usual usb cable. i used it for other devices and still works fine with my camera again. i even used another usb cable from other devices in camera and it works fine.

is it a virus maybe?
- well you can try inserting a different device in that usb port, now if it still cant see it, its probably busted. all your usb ports are on used? wow! how about you try taking some of it out and check those ports for your camera.
