Re: formatting memory card

Don't even think about formating your memory card ! You need for a data recovery software to recover your pictures. There are a lot of recovery software's at the market and some of them are even for free. Look for it in the internet, under "memory card recovering pictures" Good luck

Check the camera's settings, the photos maybe stored in the camera's internal memory and not being stored on the memory card.

I have purchased a san disk memory card but its reading full when i go to take a picture it is new and has never been used

New cards need to be formatted in the camera before use. Also, if you've used the internal memory of the camera, it too, will need to be formatted with no card in the camera.

I can only take 5 pictures with this camera before it says that the card is full. i have already changed the card twice is there something wrong with the camera or the card

This sounds like a problem with the memory card.
Your camera has 19MB of internal memory (used to take test photos in the shop usually) which is what the camera is using here.
You may need to format the memory card before use, assuming it is inserted into the camera correctly.
I have linked to the camera's instructions (PDF Format). Follow the details on page 30 describing how to format your memory card. Please also read through the set up at the beginning to ensure the card is inserted correctly. Thanks

A530 cannon digital camera problem

Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for. You will need to use ayour card reader with this software.

The reason this occurred is that you likely never formatted the card. The card will work fine in the beginning but eventually will corrupt. AFTER you've recovered the photos, format the card in your camera to prevent this from happening again (dig out that instruction manual to figure out how). Keep in mind formatting will also totally erase your card, so again only do this after you've recovered the photos.

Hi there
Make sure the write protect is off, take the card out and unlock it, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .

Disk not formatted!

the file system on the card is corrupt.
it means that it has not been formatted properly or has reached the end of its life. don't worry. if u have a data cable of ur camera then connect it to pc using the cable and then try to copy the photos.
it should work. secondly if that dosn't work then reply me. ill tell u another way. just don't try to click more pictures on the same card.

Problem with taking picture with SD card

The only thing I can recommend is using the brands of memory cards that Casio recommends. They are Panasonic, San Disc, Toshiba. Make sure the card is formatted with the camera before use.

My samsung s1030

An 8gb memory card to too large for your camera. It can't handle the large space on an 8gb memory card. If I'm not mistaken the s1030 can only go up to a 2gb memory card.
