1. Turn Radio On 2. Change Source input to Stand-By ( Puts radio in display only Stand By mode.) 3. Press Menu Button ( Gives you standby menu) 4. Toggle display with control knob until DEMO ON appears 5. Hold control knob in until DEM0 OFF appears 6. Press Menu Button 7. Change source back to music. All done. same as other Fixes - Just step by step!
See my post under the MP235 model, probably same deal. Have to enter the menu function then hit standby, then toggle until you get to the DEMO MODE readout, THEN hold the phreakin' control button in for 2 secs. Least that's how it worked with the MP235.
Had the same problem - I solved it by pressing the menu button,
pressing the control knob up repeatedly until demo mode on appeared,
then pressed the control in for 2-10 seconds, demo mode off appeared.
Press menu button - voila.
Press as many buttons as you can, then hurl it outta the window, make a cup of tea. then press and hold the function button while in standby then select the option with the scroler then turn demo mode off by holding the other button down for 2 seconds
It took me a few hours to figure it out, you need to put it in standby mode, then hold the control knob for 2 secs. when it shows up in display mode, you need to hit the menu key (left of the knob), then you can change it.

The DEMO MODE just appears after the unit has been unplugged or following a power failure.
