I can't hear anything in my ps2 headset (by 2 users)

i just bought a headset for the playstation 2
and its not functioning correctly. I tried using it with socom 3 it works for about 5 seconds then i cant hear anything after that.I tried unpluggin then pluggin it bak in to the ps2 it continued shutting off. Can you please help me with this problem if you can i'd really aprreciate it

My mic was working, untill a few minutes after i signed off a game. when i plugged it back in i couldnt hear anyone but they could hear me. This is the 2nd mic that broke, and i dont want to get another i just wanna kno how to fix the problem.

i once too had the same problem. all i know is to plug your headset BEFORE you turn on your PS2.
