Thanks for your suggestion, but it didn't reset. There is no error code, beeping or any response at all. The only thing that happens is the heater element starts to get hot. I have disconnected the heater element harness from under the drawer for now so that we can use it. Any other ideas?

Try to reset your dish washer. Turn off main power supply and leave it for at least 1 min. Is there any error code appear/beeping sound?

I'm assuming its a fisher and paykel, you will certainly need more info. Do you have an led display or 3 buttons and lights. Any fault codes, flashing beeping when buttons are pressed etc. If everything is normal no unusual beeps lights etc but nothing AT ALL happens when you press start it is the door 'switch' which is actually a light that is reflected through a plastic prism and back to itself ( originates from the board) check the prism top right drawer frame. Just compare to working drawer. If not more info required.

My top drawer says it isnt getting any water and the water hose is rattling. the bottom drawer works fine

Its common for the Dual Water Valve to slowly decrease water flow to the tub. It generally faults on the top draw as its the most used...more wear on the top valve.
This is more often seen on US Models (120v) that have hot water fill.

Fill fault on top tub and bottom works fine. getting about 30 ounces of water and it takes about 3 minutes for fault code to come up

If your bottom drawer works fine then your inlet water valve below the bottom drawer is bad. Click on the link below to see how to repair this dishwasher.

On our double drawer dishwasher, we are getting a code--which illustrates no water--this is for the top drawer, the bottom drawer, works fine--and the water supply is on--please help.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you must have a defective water inlet valve, for the 2nd drawer. or a bad control relay for the valve.

Water will not drain out of top drawer

To determine if your pump work, before attempting access from the bottom of the top drawer: You can manually pump the water out by doing the following:
1- Press the Power button to turn off the display.
2- Press the Lock button and then the start button the same tim. Hold them until the display showing up.
3- If the display is not clear with all the characters, press power button to see clear the display.
4- The first display is bL, then Er,Ld..dd, FU, P1, P2...by pressing the Start button to go by the sequence until P2 (drain). If you miss, be patient to continue press and release the start button to get back to P2.
5 When is is at P2, press Lock button to tun on the drain. When you hear the water flowing to the drain, you could pull the top drain to see how the water is draining.
6- When the water is out, press the lock button again to stop it.
7-When it is done, press the Power button to get out of manual mode.

If this is working, then your water is there because you are running the bottom and your air gap allow back flow to the top drawer.
Please let me know if this is not the case.
