Question about RCA Lyra M1001GBUS (1GB) MP3 Player
I have been trying to turn on my mp3 player for a month.i let it charge untill it was complete, but when i tried to turn it on, it wouldnt turn on
The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).
Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

did you hit the device by chance, or some hard shock. if that is/was the case, the lcd cable could have been dislodged. Not thing easy to fix on such a small device, however you can have a technician take a look at that aspect of it.
Another thing might be the backlight for the device is done with. not sure they are replaceable on those small device.

As long as your computer can see the player, it is likely the firmware has gotten corruped.
First, connect your player and back up any important media items that are on it.
Next, download and run the firmware installer from the RCA website:
