Sure, a small tipped Philips screw driver "can" work, but it would be better to use a nut driver that fits that head, so far I haven't been able to find one. I think Lenovo needs to be able to supply this for people. A long shank nut driver would be the best tool to have, now try to locate one. If someone finds one please let me know about it.

You will need some brass Studs http://www.frozencpu.com/products/3482/scr-39/Brass_Stud_Coarse_Thread_and91161_0505.html?tl=g4c157&id=5d2SykjZ An screws http://www.frozencpu.com/products/3492/scr-49/6X6MM_Hex_Head_Screw_Coarse_161_0292.html?tl=g4c157s329 Just a screw driver will secure those.

I get ''Failed Memory test'' at startup after installing maximum 2048MB of memory secured from Crucial after running their scanning tool before purchase. What do I need to do to get this memory recognized...

If you purchased more than one stick of RAM, just insert one of them, and try to start your computer. If you get the error-message, you have identified a "bad" stick of RAM. Contact CRUCIAL, and they will replace it. If no error-message, repeat with each other stick of RAM.
