Black screen,no picture just a sound.not even menu... (by 11 users)
there is no picture,black screen all the time but power is on.if connected to xbox36 there is sound and u can cotrol it but not even menu displays.sometimes if is on for long is just screen flashing blue and then it goes off to stand by mode.whatta hell???

same problem - black screen, no picture just sound. when first comes on works for a while, starts to flash, goes black.

My TV was fine up until about a month ago and now I always get a black screen with audio working. This is really annoying.

the screen goes black and when I turn off the tv and turn it back on the screen comes back. this happened for a couple of weeks. Then the screen went black and it doesn't matter what I do it just stays black. I have sound but no picture. I have checked the power and the cable connections and the audio/video connections and there doesn't seem to be any problems with any of these connections.

I HAVE A SAMSUNG HP-S4253 PLASTMA DISPLAY TV. WE TURNED IT OFF LAST NIGHT AND NOW IT WON'T GO ON. HAVE CHECKED POWER - ALL OTHER COMPONENTS ARE WORKING. HELP

I have the same problem i turn on the tv flashes please wait then i have sound but black screen.......dvd ps3 all of it only sound

Power light on display panel blinks, tests, makes a double chirp sound, then powers down and re-tests itself again. Repeats several times, all the while no screen video image, no audio image.

TV set is about a year old. Today after using the DVD, I switched to the TV mode. It displayed about 3 seconds then went black. Sound is fine. Turned off and on several times. Same thing, the TV displayed about 3 seconds and went black. DVD doesn't work now, too.

same issue.....new plasma.....worked well for 1 hour....screen went black..sound unchanged, not even volume control will show on screen....adjust menu, change channels, unplug television, nothing helps, screen is black.
