Oct 13, 2012 - I have an Epson R300, about 3 years old. It's been great but yesterday Iwent to print a page (printer was already turned on) and it wouldn't do ... Just had the same problem with my R300, it locked up and it would not turn off.

First replace the fuse in the plug or try another power lead, if you still have no lights on the printer at all then the printer PSB has failed & will be uneconomical to repair.

I'm sorry but I read over the manual and couldn't find a 'general error' message listed. Nor, could I find a way to reset the printer so it could print.

The documentation for the epson printer is rather detailed though, and it is possible I missed it somewhere, but I would try the above link for more leads that may lead to a solution.

it is possible that the cable loose, it also very possible that liquid got into the mainboard of the printhead and shorted it out as well.

You only need the 2 cables you've mentioned Try Disconnecting the printer from the PC and re installing the drivers Don't reconnect the printer until told to during driver install make sure it is turned on.

remove the colored not detected then clean the chips then take it back again and turn of the power of printer then on again then see again...thanks...

try to chec on compassmicro.com they have epson parts their number is also on their website

Power on...press advance button....press down arrowed button until options in printer screen stops...press maintenance button....ink cart replacement appears in window ...press OK

step1..............switch on
step2............press+hold stop,ink,power buttons untill printer switches self of
step3............switch back on and problems should have gone
