There are links that show you how to repair this issue yourself (but they are not very clear and every thing is very fragile inside the XBOX 360) or you can contact me via email at [email protected] and we can discuss the issue further as I recently repaired my XBOX 360 with the same issues and it works better than when was brand new. There are additional measures that must be taken besides the x-clamp replacement which are certain heat syncs that prevent it fron sensing false over heating issues.

Hi,Turn on unit until the red light flashes and the error code(E 73) shows up on the screen. Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.
This solution will fix your problem for sure. Thank you!

it is similar to the red ring of death on the 360 and it means that it overheated and damaged itself

sounds like the red ring of death, contact xbox as they give u a 3 year warranty on this, they will pick it up and return it fixed.

i'm going thru this same problem right now...remove the harddrive then reboot the console...if it boots up properly then your hard drive is shot...that was what was wrong with mine..i bought a new hard drive and it work great again

Hi, this is a General Hardware Error: Ethernet port. this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port. you will have to send this unit to a local xbox repair shop or, you can send back to the manufacture for this repair.

Unfortunately, due to the integrated circuitry, this is not a do it yourself. a qualified microsoft tech is needed for this board transplant.

i had the same problem and phoned xbox support who took it away free of charge to fix

Do you get an error message on your tv screen? 1 flashing red light means there is a hardware failure such as your DVD drive hard drive, dashboard error ect. Not much can be done about this issue besides having microsoft fix it.
