First, ensure that only one master hard drive is connected (also disconnect cdrom(s). Next, at startup press the key (DEL or F2) to BIOS screen. then make sure that only the master hard drive in position 1 is listed or choose AUTO detect. now reboot and report if any progress. If no further progress, then master hard drive has failed somehow, but to be certain, try that drive on another pc as a slave just to test spin-up.

in general, most mobos have a reset jumper on the board to reset the BIOS settings. In the event there is only a spammed BIOS setting, try placing a jumper (small part looks like a rectangle plastic device with copper inside, very small-borrow it from another location if necessary-but put it back when done). place it on RESET jumper pins (if it actually exists on your mobo) for 5 seconds then remove. Now retry startup. If no change, the BIOS may be spammed requiring a flash upgrade. Also, pull the power connector, RAM, keyboard, CPU and video cards and re-insert fully....may be a partial connection somewhere.

MX-46-533 WAN'T TO BOOT PROCESSOR IS GOOD (new one) also ram are new no bip when booting just processor fan runing .

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Some connections inside the computer is loose.
It is probably the hard disks or CD drives. Just open CPU, disconnect those devices and then reconnect.

Fixya do an online manual for this motherboard here

The product specs can be found here

According to this page your Motherboard accepts a Pentium 4 processor on a socket 478 and a FSB of 400MHz so I would think it should support up to a 3.2GHz processor.

Hope this helps

Need to Make Intel DG35EC MoBo Boot From a SCSI Drive

In your bios change the boot order so that your SCSI drive is listed in the #1 slot. Save and exit. This will tell your system to always look at this drive first when booting up. Hope this helps.

Power up problems

To enter setup (Refering to the bios/cmos), press the Delete key very two seconds untill the bios main menu loads. You need to go to the menu heading - Boot.
If you added another hard drive to you're system the IDE (hard drive) it's jumper settings may not be correctly set. If there are now two IDE drives both the primary master & secondary drive's jumpers must be set correctly. You will ned to look at the white sticker on the drive for the correct jumper settings. Many primary IDE drives pin jumper is set as a single master drive with out a secondayr drive attached in the system. When you add a second drive the pin jumper one the master drive will most likely need to be changed to master with a slave. The second drive will also need it's jumper set as a slave drive. Once this has been adjusted you need to enter the bios & make sure you're primary master drive is set in the boot order. Most PC's boot order is as follows.
1st Boot device, floppy drive. (If one is connected to the system).
2nd boot device, CD-ROM drive.
3rd boot device, master IDE drive.
Please use the help of you're manual to guide you for these settings.
AOpen MX46L web site. http://download.aopen.com.tw/Default.aspx
You must set the three drop down menu's to get you're board's drivers & manual. In the first menu choose motherboard, in the second menu choose MX46L & in the last menu choose manual. For drivers, the third menu choose drivers.

Still heave more questions? Just ask.

Computer will not boot to desktop

1. Unplug the SATA drive and see if you get a desktop then.
2. If so, then go to hardware/device and look for PCI sata card.
3. If it is listed, check the details, copy down and post here.
4. If it is not listed, see if it is listed under computer management/hardware/devices or in the "problem device" or "conflicts" tabs. Post any mention here.
5. While I wait for your reply/you wait for me to catch it, you should also try switching the card to another PCI slot. Sometimes, with new technology added to older boards, the slot ID is important.
