I bought my labtec Webcam ages ago and used it all the time. I unplugged it one day because i needed to use the USB for something else. Then I plugged my cam bak in and i wont work on MSN. The wierd thing is that if you go onto the labtec programme it works! I stupidly lost the CD so i dont know what to do. Please help.

Hi sph_allinson this is nichu,
donot worry if you lost the cd
you can download the installation software from internet .
you can download it from this website ,http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/service/listing/AMR/EN,crid=68,crid2=1764
select the type of your operating system
chose the type of language
then,click on download .
install the same software on your pc & start workin with your webcam.stay cool.

my computer is an HP Pavilion slimline s33001 The cam is Labtec i cant remember the # but of the four its the smallest slimmest dark one.It wont fit in either computer we own.the usb
is so odd yet our older Labtec cam is fine on both pcs.
First, have you tried restarting the computer? If that doesn't fix it check the task bar in the bottom right to see if the webcam software is running down there, then use ctrl-alt-delete to check the task manager to see if any webcam software is running there. Only one program is able to use the webcam at a time so you just have to find what other program is using it.
Check the software installation disk.
Sometimes these give several programs to run the thing
If you install both programs -as I did once- you will get conflicts or none running.
Best thing to do is to remove the software and this time take it easy on the install button.
This is very strange. It sounds like a driver problem, but you said you got the latest drivers from Labtec. I would go to Labtec's support area and copy what you posted her and show it to them to see if they know of any similar issues.
