If it has standard SVideo connections, I don't see why not.
This one might be too obvious, but in VideoWave, make sure you're in
the "capture setup" mode, and not just preview mode. Otherwise,
VideoWave is showing you the first frame of the selected movie. Click
on the bottom "=[]=" icon to go to recording preview.
Of course, make sure you select S-Video input under "Video Format".
The sound is simply passed through the sound card mixer, so it's very
likely you get sound even when there is no software running. Its
level is simply set by the audio card "Line In" playback mixer
setting. (VideoWave turns it on on startup, but DOESN'T turn it off
on exit.)
Does your Single Frame Deck have a composite output you could try?
Also, make sure you don't have a composite input connected to the Buz
when you are using the S-Video connections.
I've found that a live composite feed really hoses the S-Video input,
and could possibly be causing your Buz to lose sync.
Just a few guesses here, mostly stuff I'm sure you've tried. If
nothing works, then you will have to find another S-Video source to
try and narrow the problem down. Maybe borrow a Laserdisc or DVD
player from a friend.
