Where is the ignite button located

Hi phillzy21
If the main grilling burners don't ignite, try lighting them several times using the snap ignition. If that doesn't work, try using a match. In humid and windy conditions, sometimes the snap ignitions do not work properly. Make sure that the hood is fully open. Also, ensure that your gas is turned on and that the valve is fully open. Next, take out both the heat distribution plates and cooking grate. Turn the grill backwards, and hit the snap igniter a few times and look for a spark. If you see a spark, the igniter is working properly.

Why won't my Weber grill ignite after installing a

Disclaimer- be careful when working with gas. Starters in gas grills are just about novelty anymore. Often, they only light 1/3rd or 1/4th of the burners and they usually stop working within one grilling season. I recommend using a wand lighter. Try to light just one burner but if doesn't light in 5 to 7 seconds, turn the gas off and wait to try again. Incidentally, you are turning the gas on at the tank, right? You should hear it when you turn the burner on.

The ignition swithc is not attached to anything and so grille will not light

Reattach the wire(s) from the spark igniters on the burners to ignition module. You will have one extra wire and that is the ground wire, that should be attached to the grill's frame.
Get me the correct model number and I can forward you the Owner's Manual for your grill.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Infared burners ignitor won't work

Mike, have you replaced the battery in the igniter button ye? That's the first place to start troubleshooting. Be sure you install the new battery facing the same direction as the old battery. Also, check the interior contacts of the battery holder for corrosion. If you find any, use a Q-Tip sprayed with a little WD40 to clean it.

If the above doesn't solve the problem, trace the igniter wire from the igniter button to the spark igniter at the burner for damaged wire or a loose connection.

And finally, try match lighting the infrared burners to make sure that they are getting an adequate flow of gas.

Hope this helped you t troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling and thanks for choosing FixYa.

We're using a Sunbeam Grill Master outdoor grill. When we turn the start button to ignite it it doesn't work. The gas is on and the burners are off. Help.

Try this I have had the same problem occasionally with mine. Turnoff the knobs in front then turn off the tank then unscrew the black knob on the tank until you hear a hiss. Tighten the black knob and then try to start your grill again. Turn on tank then turn on one burner the start burner and ignite with your pisio igniter red button. Sometimes these get what is called a vapor lock and this should clear it up every time. Good Luck...

Can not light flame

Gas is on. Look to see if the magneto is working properly. Do you see a spark when you press the ignition button? Perhaps the magneto gap is too much or the gas is not in contact with the spark.

Grill not lighting

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the push button igniter next to the burner control knobs on the front of your grill.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the grill has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck
