Question about Dell E151FP 15" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
5 1/2 year old Dell 151fp works fine once it gets going. The problem is that it takes 5-10 minutes to "warm up" after being turned on.Thescreen remains blank during this time. It sometimes seems to help if you click the mouse or press a key on the keyboard. I hooked up my new Dell 1707fp and it worked fine. I called Geek Squad and they said they've never heard of that problem, I should buy a new one. It also takes several minutes to get going if left on when the computer is turned off.
You dell e151fp lcd monitor may have a bad/weak capacitor on power section(primary and secondary). Just change the buldge capacitor and use the Dick Smith ESR Meter to check the capacitor esr value.
