@ alan o'brien, Samsung D53 digimax draws a lot of current from the battery thus, you need to replace your batteries with a HIGHER current ratings, sufficient enough to run the motor. This miniature motor inside the D53 camera drives the reduction gears functions, to extend and retract the mechanical lens. During this processes it is drawing a lot of current from the battery. In order to conserve and prolong battery power avoid zooming in and out, utilize the function speed 50-400 and manually adjust aperture to minimize the unnecessary use of flash. In other words, go manual mode. Here's the battery specs. 2800ma NiMH rechargeable battery. Refer and follow manufacturers recharging instructions for best result. Do not leave batteries inside the camera even when not in use because the circuit inside is still on the standby mode and not necessarily off. Hope i have satisfy your curiosity. My pics come out too white, to light!!
I use to get Beautiful clear pics of outdoors and inside. They are completely white out side and very light inside!
I have tried everything.
I lost the manual too so Im screwed.
I run a business and need perfect pics to sell .
