When you have no sound on the radio the first thing to checkl is the speakers. Using the smallest voltage battery you can get hold of and handle easily (AA or AAA) conect +(ve) and -(ve) terminals of the battery to the 2 speaker connections. If the spreaker is OK it will produce a cacling sound. If non, replace. If speakers are OK the trace connection from radio/amp to speakers. If OK then radio needs attention.
u can put a small amount of power on speaker [+-2v]just taching speaker wires and keep your ear to speaker to hear a scrathing noise if sound comes out it works just disconnect wires from radio when doing this
I have a HT-R520 - First thing stated in the manual is 'Do Not Apply Power to the System Until All the Speakers Are Connected to the Receiver.' This practice avoids any hot connects to the speakers. As with any high-outpiut system connecting spreaker wires to the system while in operation can spike the speakers as well as the amplifier curcuits. Hook up your speakers first and give it a try. Good Luck!
you didn't stated that if your unit has power.first, check the power cord.you stated that no lights in front brought me to think that it has no power.try changing the power cords first.
The last Kenwood that I had witnessed with a flashing power light was defective. It also caused the subwoofers to move slowly back and forth. More than likely, you have an internal issue with the amp. Call Kenwood, and see how much they would charge to have you send the amp in for repair. Or pick up a new amp.
Check the volume on the systems itself. The difference of hardware won't matter has long as you have the correct driver for each hardware. Just check the volume & still doesn't work GET BAC @ME.
