How do I set the clock on a fisher fvh-7600 vcr I do not have a owners manual

Also having no manual for a Fisher FVH-7600, I eventually guessed how to set the clock after finding a remote control (Fisher RVR-7600) that works with it.

With the TV and VCR connected and powered on, the TV set to channel 3, and the remote's FUNCTION switch and VCR/TV button both set to VCR, I see a blank blue TV screen.

Then I press the PROG. button on the remote, and a menu with instructions appears on the TV screen. CLOCK SETTING is item 1 on that menu.

I have a panasonic pv 9451- is there a way to reset the auto programming for the channels? can i reset the vcr programmed information entirelyu and start anew?i think i programmed out channel 3 which is...

Should be able to use the remote to access the VCR menu, and setup the auto programming. If not automatically, then you'll have to do each channel manually. Just check all your options in the menu.

Usually all vcr's have the option of channel 3 or 4.

I have a Toshiba W614 VCR but not the remote. How

While a universal remote might be able to do intrinsic functions like menu function, an original is always the best bet. Below are links to the manual and an Ebay auction for an original remote. Give those a try.

I have RCA VR 646HF. My remote fell between sofa

I could not find the Users Manual for the VR636HF, but I did stumble across the Users Manual for the VR634HF. Find it here:

Page 49 talks about the Pro-Tec Plus Locking "Feature" whereby holding the VCR button for six seconds will lock and unlock the "SAFE" mode.

Page 38 & 39 are instructions and programming codes for the VR634HF remote. Maybe they will work with your VR636HF to get the TV control working again.

Accessing the menu and timer recordings

Oh boy! Most late VCRs must have a functional remote to get to the advanced functions such as setting time, programming, etc. The front panel buttons only have stop/play/rewind/ffwd/eject and so forth. Either obtain an exact remote, or one of aftermarket universal remote boxes which have menu functions.

You do not need the remote - you can access the menu manually.
  1. Take out (eject) the tape;
  2. press the 2 Channel buttons ("up" and "down") simultaneously;
  3. follow the menu as easily as you did when you did have the remote and you can change all the clock settings;
  4. press the FF button for >, the REW button for <, the PLAY button for UP and the STOP button for DOWN.
  5. when finished, exit the menu with the simultaneous pressing of the Channel UP & DOWN buttons.

Lost the remote, manually need to access Menu button

VCRs since the early '90s have limited function with the machine located controls, and a remote is necessary to get into most setup options, probably including the channel add/delete. Many VCRs do have an auto program mode which searches for active channels, but I'd guess this also is activated via remote. A universal remote which specifically has the capability of performing the advanced functions is probably available. Look here for an exact Part number is VSQS1418 according to this site for PV4501.
