-   I have dropped the dual cube unit of the bose speakers, the clip that connects the 2 units has popped apart. I have the front cover off, I have the speaker unscrewed, but the dirver is too big to fit through the hole, so the speaker is in still in the small cube. How do I get the speaker out. I need to get my hand inside to hold the clip in place while I push the two units together again. Whenever I try to clip them back together, the clip slips into the hole it is in, instead of clipping to the other speaker. Any help would be appreicated. There is a red plastic trim around the opening by the front of the speaker. I removed it, but still can't figure out how to get the front off the small cabinet. Thanks, George "udked at hotmail.com" Please put Bose Answer in subject line. Thanks in advance-   George Udked
yes - although secured VERY well, the front grille can be removed from both top and bottom cubes. There are then screws on the front of each driver for removal. Not much is serviceable in there, but you can get replacement drivers directly from Bose for $22 shipped to your door.

- They just pop off with firm pressure from your thumbs. I do not suggest using a screwdriver, as you can harm the plastic.
Remove grill from speaker that has the snap connector. Remove 4 screws, gently pull out speaker and padding. Put pressure on connector (making sure the connector is out at the max. position)with middle and index finger at the same time placing other speaker onto connector, slightly turning speaker. You will here it snap in. Just use maximum pressure with fingers. Do not use tools. Connector is made of plastic and can break very easy.

All the wires seemed to be connected but not getting any base. Have tried changing settings on amp, but no chnage. There does not seem to be a power switch or any power indicator lights on the subwoofer. So no way to tell if its working or not except that there is no base.
