go to USER'S GUIDE
then pick your phone...it should be at the very end on the right
then you should reach a page with a download link
click on download to get the English manual

SOURCE: Change language to english

Solution #3 worked for me, but the first part "choose the 9th item' wasn't accurate b/c the menu is all pictures. However, this corresponds to the Setup menu item which looks like a small screwdriver and wrench. After that, it was the 6th item down like it said.
