Faulty main pcb board , test cycle showing

This machine has all of a sudden gone into test mode, i have been told this is a faulty main pcb board, i have the skill to actually mend the board itself, if i was given a clue as to which part on the board had gone down,I have other good pbc boards from other machine so have more or less all the parts i need, does someone have what it takes to identify where on the board i look, ie? a faulty resistor or faulty capacitor etc many thanks in advance

Re: faulty main pcb board , test cycle showing

If you do decide to remove the board and fix it, you sometimes can see what goes bad by a small burn or tarnish mark around a resistor or capacitor. Other times you wont be able to see a thing. It would all depend on what system or part caused the first problem. Good Luck!!! Jim

Re: faulty main pcb board , test cycle showing

My board looked fine. I ignored hamstel, removed it and found a burn on the back. Repaired the tracks and good as new. All works fine. Removing the board was the only way I could see the burn marks.

Electrolux washing machine wh1092 when turn on lights 1,4 and 8 flashes. Nothing happens

If I understand correctly there is blinking LED-s from "Prewash","Rinse Hold" and "End of cycle". In binary code it is fault E91 what means communications error between main PCB and display board.
So, could be: main electronic PCB, display board or wiring.

My washing machine model no ewf 1421,is writing e60,why

Insufficient heating measured by the main board during washing cycle and also during drying cycle at washer-dryer.

Could be faulty: heting element, pressure switch, NTC sensor, printed circuit board (PCB),
wiring between PCB - heating element,
wiring between PCB - NTC sensor,
wiring of pressure switch.

My top leading washing machine is nt working. service guy says ic chip and sensor is gone. plz tell me wht will b the cost.

This means that the main program controller board is faulty as the main IC is faulty and in most cases this is not replaceable as the PCB is coated with epoxy.
The cost of the board may vary with places and it will be available with only the service dealer. It is up to you to decide the work if the cost works to about only less the 25% of the machine cost. If not think of going for a new machine. Take opinions before the decision is made, might be lucky to get a board from a scrapped set.

Washer is showing a le code and will not work

Your LG washing machine’s motor is controlled by the main circuit board. This is the brain of your washing machine. Depending on the selected program and which cycle is currently running, the PCB will tell the motor which speed to run at and which direction to turn. The Hall Effect sensor on the main circuit board is fed operational feedback from the motor. If there is any difference between what the motor should be doing and what it is actually doing – the appliance will stop operating and display an “LE” error.

For example: if the main circuit board tells the motor to rotate clockwise at a certain speed and the motor doesn’t start, the monitoring sensor will relay this inactivity to the main PCB and a “LE” error will persist. The same error would be displayed if the motor rotates in the wrong direction or runs at the wrong speed. It should be evident there are many faults that could produce the “LE” error code. Failure of one of the major components or a fault in the monitoring and feedback loop, could all lead to this problem. It is true however, some faults occur more regularly than others. Test for the most common causes of failure, eliminate them, and move on to more unlikely faults.

Many causes for the “LE” error are thought to stem from LG’s manufacturing process. Many customers found the wiring damaged or completely severed in their washing machine’s motor drive and feedback loop. If the wires were installed too close to a moving part, they may be vulnerable to mechanical wear once the machine starts to operate. A washing machine vibrates a lot during a spinning cycle, so it is conceivable wires could be damaged in this way. Check the cables feeding the motor for any obvious signs of damage. If you cannot see any problem, disconnect those wires and check for conductivity with a multi-meter. There should be almost no resistance detected in the wire.

If you find a damaged wire, replace it and ensure the new wire is well out of the way of any moving parts. If the wire is faultless you will have to move on and continue fault finding. Try and turn the motor’s rotor by hand, if there is any real friction or if the rotor is seized – you will have to replace the motor. Faultless wiring and a washing machine motor - with the existence of an “LE” error code, indicates a fault in the main system board. It should be noted though; this is unlikely to be the cause of the problem. Almost all “LE” errors indicate faulty wiring - so ensure you have properly checked this before installing a new PCB.

Spin cycle will not spin

it is possibly the pcb control board that has gone, the motor spin relay should be incorporated in it which sounds to have gone faulty.

Sounds like the PCB is Freaking out. All you can do is Check all the connections between the Main board and Display board and if you still have the problem - then i'm afraid it is probably the Main Board gone Faulty.

I have had this problem it is caused by accidentally pressing both the on and start button together. It puts the machine into demo mode. You need to press both the buttons together again for about 30 seconds. If it doesn't work first time switch the machine off and do it again. Sometimes you have to do this many times before it works but eventually it does work.
Very frustrating.
I found the cause was either leaning on the front of the machine or resting a broom which when you pick it up accidentally presses the two buttons.
