Re: No sound for regular tv channels

You may need to connect an AV cable from the Audio out L & R a the back of your tv..into your Audio L&R input sockets of your hometheatre unit. OR you may need to setup the TV channels in your home theatre unit using its remote control to do so, with your TV set to AV1 or AV2 or AV3 depending on how you have the cables connected. Sometimes its just amatter of disconnecting all cables in your particular installation ....going to bed...then restarting the cable connection proceedure shown in your manual with a refreshed mind.....its so easy to make cable connection errors when one is excited about getting the desired entertainment hit by having it all running ok eh? Hope this helps - hattonhall

Dvd play + tv sound

This is usually caused by Cheap connecting leads. The sound 'bleeds' from one to another. First make sure your leads are as seperated from one another as possible. Then, before you start up the DVD, turn the tv to a blank channel. Hope this helps.

No sound through the Panasonic cinema surround sound on TV

Had a similar problem mate. I solved it by connecting the tv to the PT460 system with a scart lead. You then have to have the AV channel selected on the PT460 system to listen to the tv. You will always have to have the AV channel on the PT460 selected to listen to any sound transmitted through the tv - be it playstation/xbox or any other device that you may connect in the future with HDMI leads or otherwise. Hope this helps

Hooking up my DVD/VHS player to TV & Convertor box

I would just hook up the dvd/vhs player with the red, white, yellow rca cables that should of come with your unit and just go to the input on the tv to watch your dvd/vhs player. This will give you a better picture and sound while allowing you not to have to watch dvd/vhs on a channel which helps make the dvd/vhs player independent. Also if possible I would hook the converter box up with the red, white, yellow rca cables to the tv as well if your tv has more than one set of red, white, yellow plugs since it is a better connection that coax and you probably watch more tv than vhs/dvd anyway. So bottom line try to hook up both boxes red, white, yellow and watch each box on different inputs instead of like channel 3 or 4. Also to record of converter box you can run coax from converter box to dvd/vhs combo and make sure your dvd/vhs player is on tuner input or channel 3.

Don't worry about sending the TV audio to the Panasonic. Just send a digital audio signal from the cable box to the Panasonic.

DVD - Panasonic connected via HDMI
TV - Panasonic connected via HDI
cable connected to cable box and TV. But you will not really be using the cable connection to the TV (TV Tuner) since you will want HD feed from cable box through HDMI input on TV.

You aren't concerned about feeding the TV speakers because your audio will always come from the home theatre.

Note that some components don't feed audio through HDMI, in which case you will need to use optical digital audio.

Panasonic home Theatre

You need to obtain audio leads and connect from home theatre directly to audio input in back of tv - be careful as there are normally 2 in back of tv
