My cpu won't turn on. I unhooked my cd burner installed a new 1 and my cpu won't cut on. Is there a reset switch or button to fix this problem. I did this yesterday and it came back on after I let it sit 4 hours. Now its doing it again, it wouldn't read my hard drive and it cut off.

Not sure what the CPU has to do with anything! The following might help with CD/DVD drive jumper settings:

Hello Jaclyn...Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle (valet)
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition key, press and hold in the button (little spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride the system, and only the keyless entry part, if installed, would still be operating....The LED light in the dash should also go on solid....At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed it would now be opened, and the engine would turn over when tried.

You would repeat these steps to go back to user mode to see if this was corrected...i hope this information is helpful...Happy Holidays.

I think I know it.
Modern cookers have semi automatic ignition. Behind every knob there is a hidden switch and the switches are wired in "parallel". That means, when one button is put in "sparkstand", all plugs will spark. At least it should be.
In the youtube movie you can see how these switches are in a string.
So I suppose that the switch behind the button for the main burner does not work.
Fortunately, you still can lit that burne r with the other buttons.
Look at the movie, may be you can fix it yourself.

internal modem installing:

1.Switch off the power,and remove the power card from the cpu.

2.Get the cpu separately.

3.unsqrew the sqrews and open the system box

4.you can find the white color slot in the mother board.

5.fix the modem with that slot (Modem Board has the single cutting).it must be fitted with the PCI slot.Slight press down.

6.then ON the system,
Start->all programs->control panel->system
->Hardware->Device Manager

now you can see more items on screen,also you can found the modem which you have installed.

Your new modem is ready to use...

7.If your modem came with cd,then insert the disc in cd/dvd drive .Gently Installed the cd...

8.Then Restart the computer.

Your new modem is ready to use...

External Modem Installing:(We do not need to open the system case)

Type 1:(Using Ethernet Cable)

1.Insert the ethernet cable(RJ 45) in the modem,and connect the other end of the cable to cpu.

2.insert a power adaptor in the modem jack.

3.insert the phone line in modem phone jack.(RJ 10)

4.On the system and Modem.

5.Your new modem is ready to use...

Type 2:(Using USB cable)

1.Insert the USB cable in CPU,and connect other end of the cable to modem .

2.insert a power adaptor in the modem jack.

3.insert the phone line in modem phone jack.(RJ 10)

4.On the system and Modem.

5.You must install the driver software cd came with your modem

6.Restart the computer

7..Your new modem is ready to use...

you need to tell me what the burner is doing when it starts up. Some basics to look for:
1- bleed pump of any air- is it a new install? 2- If you are getting fuel, are you getting spark on the electrodes? 3- if you are, you may need to adjust draw assembly air, and or air intake per Carlin specs.

the door may be stucked due to dust in door gears.

The CD ERROR 277..can be fixed if u make sure the internal cable connection between the Hard disk and the writer are not mixed up and are well fitted...

Please connect jPw1 to 4 Pin 12v, this supplies power to CPU. Than enter Bios & find Boot settings. Set the cdrom as boot 1 & hd as boot 2. Check the jumper on the cdrom, as it is the only device on secondary IDE controller it should be set as a master.
It is better to install a fresh copy of windows with a new motherboard. Put your windows CD in the cdrom & the system will boot to it. And your on your way. You can install the drivers for the board after windows has been installed.
