Frigidare Front Load Washer dispenser drawer wont drain.

After running a load through the machine and we go to start the next we have to pull the dispenser drawer completely out and dump out the remaining water and fabric softner. I know that some water is normal but most of the time the fabric softner section is FULL of water and softner mix. I have cleaned the drawer and all the holes in the drawer. Sometimes it will work but most times it won't. I normally do my own repairs but can't figure this one out. There is a electric mechanical device with an arm that directs the water flow to the different sections. Could this be the problem part? Washer works perfectly other than this. It's about 5 years old.
