Canon i70 Printer failure - constant flashing orange/green

I cannot reset my canon i70 printer. power off does nothing. opening the front to change the ink cartridge does nothing. it won't print, won't respond, it does nothing other than flash consistantly. no error message is given other than "cannot print" does anyone know how to reset the thing? I've tried maintenance in the settings/control panel and that doesn't do anything as well (no response from the printer) thank you.

Same problem. Canon tech support cannot fix. They said it was an internal problem, i.e. hardware.

I have a NEC IT2530. For some reason the control panel is kind of "freeze", it doesn't allow me to change other thing like 2 side printing. I can only use simple one side printing then manually to reinsert people to make the 2 side printing, how can I fix it??

I70 Canon photo printer will not print after changing print cartridge.

Check the black cartridge and make sure the orange or yellow tape at the rear end is not still attached. If it covers the small hole on the top of the cartridge, the printer won't print black text.

I have changed the colour ink on my canon mp460 but it still say empty

CL41, this is the one you are using for your cartridge.

Did you change your cartridge with brand new one or refilled one??

If you did with refilled one, the ink level won't go back with full.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the method how printer measures the ink level.

1. Each cartridge has a serial number.
2. As soon as installation in printer, printer recognizes the cartridge by serial #.
3. And the printer starts to count the printing document.
4. After reaching certain print counting, the ink level will show "low ink"

So my answer is even if you refilled your cartridge, the ink level won't change,
since printer cannot weight the cartridge or.....some other technology to measure each color ink level.

Thanks.
